we're getting married

Alex and Nate's love story began as all great love stories do; by meeting at work. The pair were introduced in early 2017 by Erik Hage when Nate was hired at CBIZ. As fate would have it, their offices practically neighbored each other and the two quickly established their first of many traditions; Wine Fridays. Alex and Nate capped off most weeks by going to each other's office to drink wine, tell stories and get to know each other. Alex being the confident woman she is, took the initiative and asked Nate on their first date in April 2017. They went to John's Big Deck for dinner and then saw Chris Brown and Fabolous in concert at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. This was the first of many concerts they would enjoy together. Alex and Nate's passion for live music has led to them seeing well over 100 artists so far. In October 2020, Nate proposed to Alex at one of their favorite places; the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City. Under the guise of stopping by a Halloween event, Nate and Alex walked from her apartment on the Plaza to the iconic Nelson Atkins lawn where Nate got down on one knee. Afterwards the newly engaged couple popped champagne with their close friends Mitch & Lacey Bowen and then went to Alex's Dad's house for a surprise reception where they celebrated the rest of the night with family and friends. After 5 years together, we can't wait to celebrate with all of you on June 4th, 2022!
