Things To Do

El Yunque

El Yunque

Río Grande 00745, Puerto Rico

The El Yunque National Forest is the only tropical rain forest in the national forest system. At nearly 29,000 acres, it is one of the smallest in size, yet one of the most biologically diverse of the national forests hosting hundreds of animal and plant species, some of which are found only here. Hike the trails, see waterfalls and breathtaking views of the mountain range.

Old San Juan

Old San Juan

San Juan, San Juan, Puerto Rico

Old San Juan is certainly worth at least a morning or afternoon visit. Very walkable and lots of ways to do it, whether it's finding walking tours or exploring on your own. You'll find vibrant colors and Spanish colonial architecture along the narrow cobblestone streets, and hundreds of restaurants, bars, and outdoor cafes, many of which have live music!

Beaches

Beaches

Just outside of San Juan are some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean! Both Vieques Island and Playa Flamenco on Isla Culebra are said to be incredible, and while we haven't been to either (yet!), we've heard great things from both locals and travelers. There are many ways to get there from San Juan, but many suggest the Ferry as the most affordable - note that this is likely at least a full day trip!

La Placita

La Placita

179 Calle dos Hermanos San Juan, San Juan, 00907, Puerto Rico

La Placita is a great spot for food and nightlife, and very close to Condado area. There is also a historical farmers market in the square with local produce and snacks! It is in the Santurce neighborhood, which is known for being more of the hipster art and music center of San Juan.

La Factoría

La Factoría

148 Calle San Sebastián, San Juan, 00901, Puerto Rico

You may recognize this place from the Despacito music video. Recently named one of the top 50 bars in the world!

Playita Rosada

Playita Rosada

Lajas 00667, Puerto Rico

Largest pool in the Caribbean!

Rincón

Rincón

Rincón, Puerto Rico

If you are planning on extending your visit before or after the wedding, Rincon is a beautiful beach town said to have some of the best surfing in the Caribbean (if not the world)! They also have a number of fun cultural events such as the Rincon Art Walk - An art and food market that takes over the town's main square every Thursday at 6 pm. Rincon is located just a few hours drive across the island on the West coast, so you'd likely want to rent a car! We haven't been yet, but there's a chance we'd see you there!

Cayo Icacos

Cayo Icacos

Fajardo 00738, Puerto Rico

Some of the bluest water you will ever see!

For all the days along the way
