Laly and Bart met the "old fashion" way at a bar in the Marina District on St. Patrick's Day. Laly made the first move and approached Bart from across the bar! She started the conversation by complimenting Bart's Celtics jersey, telling him she met Jason Tatum a few weeks ago, and showing a picture as proof. Both West Coast natives who had never been to Boston had their first date at a Celtics vs. Kings game in Sacramento a week later.

Laly and Bart left The City during Covid and moved to Carpinteria together. A few months later, they rescued Reese's; the three lived in La Casita and enjoyed many bike rides through town and several delicious home-cooked meals from Laly's mom, Terry.

Laly and Bart moved out of La Casita to San Diego for new job opportunities and loved exploring a new part of California together. During their two years in SD, they enjoyed a lot of tacos and hikes.

Bart proposed in Boston along the Charles River overlooking the Zikam Bridge. Bart surprised Laly with a picnic and a sign asking her to marry him with a photographer hiding nearby to capture the moment. After Facetiming their parents to share the news, Laly and Bart continued the celebration at an Italian restaurant across the street. They enjoyed their first Celtics home game the next day!

A new job opportunity brought Laly and Bart back to the Central Coast earlier this year. They are thankful to be close to family and friends. An additional bonus: Laly, Bart, and Reese's get to enjoy more delicious meals by Terry!
