We're tying the knot!

We each started working for the Chicago Bears around the same time in the summer of 2018. Kyra in the Ticket Office and JJ as a Scouting Assistant at the time. Our roles couldn't be more different, yet our paths crossed every now and then. One chilly November day in 2018, we ran into each other (almost literally) in the hallway and JJ said, "Man, you've been everywhere!" A 10 minute hallway conversation led to our first date on November 17, 2018 at Mickey Finn's to watch Notre Dame football take on Syracuse. We can't recall if we actually watched the game, but it was only the beginning of something special...

JJ's family was in town from Virginia, and both of our families spent the day in downtown Chicago to enjoy a summer day in the city. The sunny skies quickly turned to gray with a mix of sprinkling rain, yet we made our way to the Riverwalk and then to North Avenue Beach to "see the water." As the rain briefly paused, we walked the boardwalk towards the city skyline, when JJ grabbed my hand, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. It was PERFECT! Our families ran towards us, popping bottles of champagne. We ended the night at Greek Islands in Greek Town to celebrate the day. Opa! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you!
