We're Getting Married!

We were both at a Halloween party that McMurry students were having. I had lost my friends and went to the back room. I saw him and his best friend/roommate Lane and asked to sit with them. We all talked for a while getting to know them both. He made it a point to say bye to me when he was leaving and I was sad to see him go. Later that night he had followed me on Twitter later that night. I had messaged him first and found out he was interested too! And the rest is history we have been together since!

It was a regular Friday in December. I (Kyleigh) had a half day at work and Brendon was off that day. We ate lunch together and I went off to do some more Christmas shopping. We had previously planned to go to the Winter Lightfest in Abilene with my family. My sister and brother in law were coming in from Disney World and my sister asked me to get my nails done because she needed a little pampering from walking around the parks for the last few days. After that I rushed home to get ready to do my hair because it was cold I was not about to have my ears exposed. We went through the lights rather quickly and didn’t stop to get any snacks while we were there, which we always had done in previous years. Once we approached the last light tunnel we were taking pictures together but my family continued to have cameras on us. Brendon got down on one knee and I said “SERIOUSLY?” I was in shock! To my surprise both of our families were on both sides of us watching this special moment! Afterwards we had a little engagement party at my parents house with family and a few friends! We couldn’t thank them enough to make this moment special!
