11:00 am - 2:00 pm
It's the day before the wedding - time to get our manicures! ♡ The nail salon can only accommodate a group of ten, so the first nine girls to RSVP to the wedding (who would like to get their nails done with us) will be the ones to fill the nine spots. *As of March 3rd, all spots have been filled! *This nail salon (Diamond Nails in Beckley) went under new management recently, so if you look up the salon online and find bad reviews - they're most likely from before June, 2023 when the new management took over. Now it's super cute, and they do great work - you can copy and paste the link to their Facebook below to see photos of customers' nails: https://www.facebook.com/diamondnails.wv
3:00 pm - 3:45 pm
To our close family and bridal party who will be walking down the aisle - please join us at The Gaines Estate (tentatively at 3pm) to go over the ceremony with the wedding coordinator!
5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Meet up with us for casual drinks & apps (tentatively 5-7pm)! Feel free to stop by to say a quick hello and grab your wedding favor bag, or stay for a while and hang out! We haven't decided on a restaurant yet, but we'll be sure to update you once we do!
3:00 pm - 3:45 pm
Today is the wedding day! To our close family, please arrive early to meet at the main Gaines Estate house by 2:50, to take formal family photos before we head down to the ceremony!
4:00 pm - 4:15 pm
Please try to take your seats by 3:50 or earlier! The ceremony site is in a shaded, grassy outdoor area, and a 5-minute walk or so from the parking lot - there will be a sign directing you towards the ceremony site. To get to the venue parking lot: turn into The Gaines Estate, follow the road past the main house on your right, and past the second building on your left. There are a few parking spots past the second building, but if they are full, you can keep driving until you reach the gravel parking lot.
4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
After the ceremony, cocktail hour will take place inside the main Gaines Estate house - we'll have a few appetizers in addition to our open bar. The newlyweds will give a short speech at 5:30, at which point you'll be invited to join us in the pavilion building for dinner, dancing, and obviously - more drinks!
5:45 pm - 10:00 pm
We'll move from the main house to the indoor pavilion to start the reception, where we'll take our seats. After the first dance, we'll have dinner, cake and desserts, and more dancing! The party will end at 10 pm.
10:00 am
Did you think that was the end of it? The wedding was just a warm up! Join us for a hike with amazing views of the New River Gorge, if you're up for it! We'll be meeting up at the Nuttall parking lot at 10:00 am. After a shaded hike from the parking lot, there are multiple viewpoints on the trail - right on the rim of the gorge. It's the most beautiful hike around! The trail can get muddy sometimes, so don't bring your fancy shoes. Also, be aware that the trail can be a little bit steep at some points, so unfortunately it's not suitable for strollers or little ones.
1:15 pm
Join us for a quick and casual brunch/lunch after our group hike! We still have to decide on a restaurant and make the reservation, but we'll update this when the wedding day gets closer!
6:00 pm
Join us at our home for food, drinks, Pictionary, card games, and Bride + Groom Trivia! Make sure you bring your A game - there will be prizes for the winners! *Parking: Madison Street in a one way road - Sophie and Kyle's house is the dark blue house on the right. On the righthand side of the street you can park: next to the basketball court, next to Sophie and Kyle's house, next to the empty grass lot, or next to house 325 (Ashley's house). On the lefthand side of the street, you can park: next to the first two houses on the street, or next to the empty grass lot. You can also park next to the large building at 401 Main Street - the businesses there will be closed by that time of the evening. Since Madison Street is a narrow road, we suggest parking with your right tires up on the sidewalk to make more room on the road and avoid getting side-swiped.
9:00 am
Join us for a private whitewater rafting adventure! During our guided trip, we'll get to go over rapids, swim, cannonball off of Jump Rock, stop for a riverside picnic lunch, see the New River Gorge Bridge from below, and make a whole lot of memories. We've pre-booked for a group of 18 rafters, and if enough guests want to join us, we'll add another 12 spots! You can read more about the rafting trip by copy/pasting this link: https://aceraft.com/product/private-group-rafting/ The tickets are $150 per person, or pay what you can! You can send contributions through Zelle (to Kyle Potter, 858-999-7084), Venmo (to Sophia Balderas, @sophiabalderas25), or cash on the day of. If the only reason you might not want to go is the price - then your ticket's on the house, you're coming with us! ♡ Please note: Rafting can be dangerous, and rafters must be able to paddle. Be sure to do some research to make sure it's safe for you to join us - especially if you have any health issues or conditions.
6:30 pm
As our wedding weekend comes to a close, join us for one final dinner! If you're too tired after rafting, no worries, but we hope you can make it! We still have to make a reservation, but we'll update you with the restaurant name and address as soon as we do!
8:00 am - 1:00 pm
Today is June 15th - the day that started it all. This day will mark Sophie and Kyle's nine years of dating anniversary ♡ Feel free to stop by our place to say goodbye on your way out of town - We'll have coffee brewing, and pastries available all morning if you'd like to grab some snacks and give us one last hug before you hit the open road! -------------------------- Please keep in mind that this entire itinerary is completely optional! We promise we won't be sad if you don't join in on every single event - in fact, we encourage you not to - so that you'll have time for your own special West Virginia adventures while you're here! We hope you can make it to at least a couple of these, though - hope to see you there! ;) P.S. If you'd like to see what other attractions we recommend in the area, head over to the "Things To Do" tab of this website to check them out.
