We are so excited to have you guys celebrate with us on our big day. Throughout the website you will find more information for the wedding weekend as well as introductions to some of our closest friends. Kyle and I met when I was in high school through mutual friends. Our friend, Justin Lorentzen, introduced us and for a while we remained just really close friends! Even though I had a crush on him and it was pretty obvious I liked him, he had no clue. When I got into a car accident my freshman year of college, Kyle was the first person (other than my mom of course) that I called. We ended up having our first kiss eventually and Kyle’s first question was, “This doesn’t mean we are dating, right?” So romantic. He finally came to his senses a few months later on June 1st, 2016 and asked me out while hanging out with our now Best Man, John. Now it’s going on 7 years of dating each other!

Kyle received the custom designed Welling Jewelers (shoutout to Danny!) ring the day before we left for a friends trip to Lake Lure, North Carolina. Kyle kept the ring loose in his pocket, without the box of course, while we hiked at Chimney Rock State Park. Throughout the walk he was scoping out the best place to propose. The ring was burning a hole in Kyle’s pocket so he had to get rid of it. When he first saw the beautiful backdrop at a spot called Exclamation Point on the hike, he proposed. I was in such shock and accidentally stuck out my right hand instead of my left hand. We were able to celebrate with all of our friends that weekend making it so special!
