What feels like forever ago, James and Kristin both attended St. Gregory's University. They did not attend school at the same time. Kristin transferred to St. Greg's James' first year working there as a dorm coordinator and soccer coach. James claims to have tutored Kristin in math at some point during this time, however, Kristin does not recall. She does remember him working there and knowing who James was. Fast forward 6 years later, both James and Kristin attended, separately, their mutual friend's wedding, Cortney Gooch, in Oklahoma, July 2017. Kristin had just taken the bar exam and was ready to let loose and James had just flown in from a vacation in Florida! Kristin had heart eyes for the handsome man in the suit and James was crazy for the girl in pink. However, they barley spoke at the wedding because they were both too shy to approach one another. Waking up with immediate regret the very next day, they were both fumbling to get one another's phone number. Kristin tried to hunt him down on social media to no avail so she texted a mutual friend for his number. James also ended up texting that same mutual friend to see if she had Kristin's number. That mutual friend was Gracie and, spoiler alert, she gave James Kristin's number. There hasn't been a day since then that they have not talked and the rest is history.
