As many of ya'll are already aware, Hunter and I met at Wichita County in March of 2022. Perfect line to tell everyone...."yeah I met my husband in jail." We got off on a little bit of a rocky start as most coworkers do, him being a detention officer for 3 years at the time, me being new to a jail setting. He swears he doesn't remember this part, but he decided to ignore me for the first couple of weeks, never telling me his name or speaking a word to me. I'm proud to this day to say I tore him a new one and we have been very close friends ever since. And even though we both went thru the ringer in our personal lives, we were both there for each other, no matter the time. Finally in April 2023, after a year of dealing with each other, Hunter decided to put himself out there and asked me on a date. Lets be honest, we had gone on 2 dates by this point already. And even though many may think it's too fast or too soon, on December 6th, 2023 he realized putting up with my quirks is what he loved so much about the two of us and decided he wanted a lifetimes full of forevers. Giving me a ring, he asked me to take his last name. So off on our adventure we go, cheers to 2024, starting a new beginning by each other's side. On January 25, 2024 we decided to get the legal part out of the way and while in basketball shorts and big T-shirt’s we made our way to the courthouse to apply for our marriage license and set a date to get married with the justice of the peace. As fate would have it Judge Hughes and his clerk decided to waive our 72 hour wait and we were married 5 minutes later, definitely not how we planned or imagined it but knowing we would have a wedding to remember one day was worth it all. Now we plan on creating a intimate wedding day that we will be sharing with just really close family and friends and having a bonfire for the rest of our loved ones who would love a night of drinks, music, and fun.
