Sarah and Matthew met at a vegan running club at Townhall, in Ohio City, where they ran a loop course across some bridges and grabbed a beer after. Both training for races at the time, it started off as a discussion about diabetes research and quickly became a friendship of making aquafaba meringues in Matthew's kitchen. The first time Matthew invited Sarah over, he taught her how to make sauerkraut and kombucha, gifting her a scoby to start her own brews. On Memorial Day, they went on their first date to Lakewood park, and took a picnic to the Solstice Steps. Now they live down the street from the park and enjoy taking walks with their dog Roxi along the lake.
