We wanted to take a moment to thank you for helping us celebrate our big day. It was truly surreal to be surrounded by our closest friends and family in a place that means so much to us both! We are so grateful to have spent time with you over the weekend, and for your thoughtful wedding gifts. We are soaking in these first months of married life - and will be planning our honeymoon soon! "What's up for dinner?".... the question that started it all. Kevin, in his usual casual sense, wanted to know what was up. I responded, "work is what's up for dinner" and that was the end of that... or so we thought. About a week later, I messaged Kevin, asking him if he was still in Florida, and he politely told me he was back at home in Michigan, but would be back in Florida in 2 weeks for vacation (I now know that wasn't tooootally true... LOL). During that 2 weeks, we talked, laughed, and then Kevin asked me to have a beer in Florida - "no strings attached". That beer turned into Christmas dinner, a dance on the beach, 8 days together and us celebrating our first New Year's together. 🍾

During our awesome Australia/New Zealand vacation, we took a little private plane out to Lady Elliot Island, the southernmost island in the Great Barrier Reef. We had the day to play in the water, snorkel, check out the resident birds, sharks, eels and turtles. While swimming in the lagoon, Kevin popped the question underwater! I was holding the GoPro camera, thinking I was shooting pictures (the GoPro was in video mode!) and snapped a picture of “Kevin, the Little Mermaid”, collecting trinkets in the water. Until I realized it wasn't a trinket! 💍
