Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 10, 2023 so that we can give accurate information to our vendors!

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The official wedding ceremony start time will be listed on your invitations, however we recommend that guests arrive at least 15 minutes or so before the official ceremony start time so you can get settled before the proceedings.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal : Cocktail dresses for women and suits and ties for the men. Any color is fine, just chose material appropriate for North Carolina weather in July; it can get hot and humid.

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We have planned for all events, including the ceremony, the cocktail hour, and the reception to take place indoors to accommodate for heat and any potential weather. However, if the weather is nice, the cocktail hour and reception can be expanded onto the lawn.

Question

How do I get to the venue and is there parking available?

Answer

The Merrimon-Wynne House is located in downtown Raleigh at 500 N Blount St, Raleigh, NC 27604. This is a short drive or walk from the hotels that we have recommended for wedding. If you are driving to the wedding, there is ample parking that is available on weekends and evenings right next to the venue at the block between Polk Street and North Street along Blount Street. Over-night parking is not permitted in that lot.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Unless specifically invited, we would prefer for children to be left at home. If you have questions or concerns please reach out to us.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

We would prefer all phone and cameras be put away and silenced during the ceremony to keep the focus on the ceremony itself. The wedding photographer will document the ceremony. However pictures and social media are fine for the cocktail hour and reception.

Question

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a buffet style dinner and dessert. We are planning an open bar of wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
