Will and Kirsten met in the fall of 2021 at Fitness Connection gym in Cary, North Carolina while taking a Body Pump class. At first, they just casually talked and admired each other's squatting form. Soon after a true connection formed, and they started dating in January of 2022.

Will proposed to Kirsten on December 02, 2022, at the base of Triple Falls in DuPont Forest outside of Asheville, North Carolina. Will did a good job of keeping the proposal a surprise up until the last moment when Kirsten could feel his heart racing through his chest! Will got on his knee and popped the question. Kirsten, overjoyed, instantly said "yes" and got down on the ground and hugged him with all her might. Then, classic Kirsten, asked "Are you sure?". LOL!
