Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dressy cocktail/Semi-formal attire. Outfit options might include a cocktail dress or formal summer dress, a suit and tie, or a sport coat and dress pants.

Is it okay to take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged " ceremony. This simply means that we kindly ask that all phones and devices be put away and on silent during the ceremony. Why? We've hired our favorite photographer to capture the most important moments of our day. We promise to share them with you as soon as we have them. After the ceremony, please take as many pictures as you'd like!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking for the ceremony and reception is available at the Ivy Place on the lawn in front of the property, and parking attendants will be available to guide you. Our shuttle buses will be available to those staying in one of our hotel blocks.

Are the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

The ceremony will be held under the big oak tree, a short 0.1-mile walking distance from the reception tent. Golf cart shuttles will be available to reduce walking distance for those interested.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

For our out-of-town guests, and those who wish to attend, we will be having in informal meet up for drinks in the Charlotte area following the rehearsal dinner. Please return to our website later on as more details are to come!

How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?

Answer

A shuttle will be made available to those staying in one of our hotel blocks. If driving, please use the GPS address 8603 Van Wyck Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720 for the Ivy Place Venue (as opposed to the address for the Ivy Place Farm) and be sure to look for balloons to designate the venue entrance.

What time will the reception end?

Answer

A last call for drinks will be at 9:30pm. Out of respect to the local noise ordinance, the music will end at 10:00pm at which time, the bride and groom will make their exit!
