June of 2022, Jonny, Kia, and Jordan took a trip to Maui.  Jonny's brother, Jason, lives out there and it was the first time that we were able to bring Jordan to Hawaii.  The first day we were there, we went on a drive and a short hike up a famous volcano called Mount Haleakala.  Jordan was learning about volcanoes in school, and we were excited for him to see a real one!  At the peak of the volcano, Jordan ran off to look at volcanic rock (or so I thought) as Jonny and I walked to the edge of the volcano to take in the view.  We stood there talking about how we can't believe we first met on a bike path, and here we are standing on a volcano in Hawaii together.  I hugged him around his chest and noticed his heart was beating fast.  I asked him "Are you ok?  Your heart is racing."  He said, "Yeah I know because I'm nervous."  At that moment, Jonny got down on a knee and asked me to marry him.  I was immediately brought to tears and of course said, "YES!"
