Matron of Honor
Our childhood consisted of us walking halfway between our houses on the Montour Trail and splitting our change to buy a twix bar at the convenience store. We have been friends for a very long time and have been there for each other through thick and thin. We used to joke that our birth certificates had a typo and they mixed up India (where she was born) and Idaho (where I was born) and we are actually born in the same place and are sisters. You can find us lying on the kitchen floor waiting for our cookies to finish baking in the oven. Unfortunately, after years of doing this, we are both still terrible bakers.
Bridesmaid
Two Jens are better than one! Jen lived right down the street from me growing up and we also lived together down in Virginia while I was doing a travel physical therapy job. One notable memory is when my mom was cooking dinner and we couldn’t wait. We pulled the chicken out of the oven, peeled the skin off the top, ate the breast, and put it back in the oven like nothing ever happened. We were hungry! Jen has a huge heart and we spend a lot of time laughing together.
Best Man
I met Nick in 2004 in the Pitt Band. Over the years we have traveled together on numerous trips, our first to Italy where my bag got lost and he learned a new way to open a wine bottle. Since then we have traveled regularly including recent trips to Costa Rica and New Orleans. He is excellent at getting folks excited and ready to have a good time. He personally knows many higher ups at PENNDOT and if you ask nicely will get your road paved for you...maybe.
Groomsman
I met Mark my very first day at Pitt during Band Camp. He is responsible for allowing me to steer a US Navy Destroyer at sea and he personally charted the course for our safe return to Washington State. We took a few fun trips to old Yankee Stadium, Colorado, and Utah, the last of which he was kind enough to pull over so I could take a drug test (ask him about a desperate moment in Central Park and the salt flats in Utah). Jen and I have recently taken a liking to walking Sammy on their street.
