We first met at the University of Louisville during band camp. We were both at the campus dining hall, West Side, eating separately with our friends. Mackenzie was sitting with Lauren; Kendrick was sitting with Derick and Justin. Of course, Mackenzie and Lauren were creeping on Justin's new friends. Kendrick noticed we were staring and asked Justin who we were. Mackenzie and Lauren finally went over to say hi and meet Derick and Kendrick. Kendrick has been driving Mackenzie crazy ever since! We all started hanging out regularly during band events/trips, playing frisbee on campus, playing Mario Kart and other games, sitting at McAlister's every Friday, and anything else we could get into.

Our first date was getting milkshakes at Steak and Shake...and so began our love of ice cream! *Our friends are still mad that we didn't invite them for milkshakes too.

There have been many adventures and experiences we have shared together since that first date. We are complete opposites but we balance each other out well! We've traveled to 11 different states together for band, frisbee, family, and vacations. We love to go on bourbon and winery tours. In 2016, we began a whole new journey and moved in together! Some of our favorite things to do include trying out new restaurants or breweries around town, traveling, playing games, and enjoying time with our friends!

One of our favorite things to do is have game nights with friends, so Kendrick thought this would be the perfect way to pop the question! With the help of Lauren, Kendrick created a charades card for the game Quelf. He acted out a couple of scenarios before getting down on one knee. Mackenzie was speechless and said yes! Then, we got to celebrate our engagement with our biggest adventure so far at Disney World & Universal Studios!! We cannot wait to get married and continue our adventures together!
