This quote describes Kendall and Abigail to a T - although there may have been some hair pulling and finger pointing as little girls, there is no one Kendall would rather have by her side on the biggest day of her life. Abby has been the best built-in friend a girl could ask for and was the obvious choice for MOH.

Jeff Reeh

Best Man

Jeff and Reid had their humble beginnings at an Austin Stone MC (church small group) four years ago and have been doing life together ever since. From leading a group of college men together to being business partners, at their own consulting firm, the two have grown incredibly close. Jeff has shown Reid how to enjoy the freedoms of this life that Christ died for as well as how to serve others with a humble and gracious heart. The two bond over their love for outdoors, their entrepreneurial minds, and ultimately, their great love for Jesus.

Sloan Lindemann

Perhaps the girl-version of her brother, there is no surprise that Sloan and Kendall bonded as sisters in no time. With the most selfless heart and the ultimate life of the party, Sloan is an absolute joy to be around. In Legacy Colonel fashion, we can expect her to be killing it on the dance floor in October.

Grisha Shields

Reid and Grisha have what some may call, a playful relationship, full of wrestling, light-hearted roasts, and crypto conversations. As Grisha's first-ever brother, Reid has been a blessing on the Shields' family vacations, balancing out all the female power in the family. The two share a love for F1 and racing and share a sense of humor that can liven up any room they enter.

Mia Gates

God knew that while 2 sisters for Kendall was great, 3 was the perfect number. As Reid's step-sister, Mia has gotten to witness Kendall and Reid's relationship from the very beginning. Mia and Kendall bond over laughing at Reid's dance moves and over our shared love of shopping. She is empathetic, kind, and so very mature - Kendall is so blessed to have her as a new sister

Will Gates

As Reid's "brother from another mother" (aka step-brother), Will has had a first-row seat to the last 10 years of Reid's life. Will is an avid sports fan, just like his brother, and shows incredible loyalty to his team(s). Will and Reid spend lots of time competing against one another, whether it's in Madden, on the basketball court, or on the grill cooking steaks. You'll have to ask them who is better ;).

Carlin Fox

Carlin was Kendall's very first friend in Texas, thanks to 7th grade choir (which neither of them should have been in by the way) and they have been best friends ever since. Carlin speaks so much truth and encouragement into Kendall's life and embodies what it means to point others to Christ. Not to mention, she is a rockstar proposal party planner ;).

Bryson Upchurch

Oh, Bryson. This man can make Reid laugh more than possibly anyone else on this Earth. The two met through The Austin Stone but really got close through their obsession with sports and their late night Call of Duty games during COVID. Bryson is an incredibly loyal friend and one of the wisest people Reid has ever met. He is living out his calling in ministry right now and is such a blessing in both Reid and Kendall's lives.

Renee Jacops

Renee was often referred to as Kendall's partner in crime throughout high school - so much so, they even dressed up as that for halloween one year! After years of early morning car rides to swim practice and hours spent at each other's houses, there's not a whole lot they haven't been through together. As one of 8, Renee is one of the most patient and responsible people you will ever meet and will be a beautiful bridesmaid.

Matthew Willenbring

If you've ever met Matthew Willenbring, I can guarantee your first thought was, "Wow, he's tall". At a whopping 7 feet tall, you can imagine Matt is quite the athlete, and that is how him and Kendall met in 2014. The two swam together for 6-7 years, during which Reid got to meet Matt for the first time. Fast-forward to their college years, and the two reunited as believers in Christ, with Reid baptizing Matthew in 2021. Reid always looks forward to coffee dates with Matt and deeply admires his dedication to the mission of God.

Rachel Honts

By far the trendiest and most adventurous of 'krrac', Rachel has been a constant in Kendall's life since 8th grade. Although she was miles across the country living her big cali life, she was always just a phone call or text away. The two will both begin big-girl jobs as Management Consultants at competing firms in the next few months - game on! Rachel's loyalty and humor make her a truly incredible friend.

Spencer Johnson

For all intents and purposes, let's just say Reid and Spencer are cousins (it's complicated),, and being such, the two spent their first memories together running around Wild Oak Ranch and terrorizing the lazy river on their family vacations. The boys reconnected as believers in college, where their relationship grew from cousins to brothers in Christ. They love to play basketball together and spent a few years in the same small group. While Spencer has many amazing qualities, one of his most admirable is his vulnerability and honesty with his closest people.

Addison and Kendall also met in 7th grade at good ole' Canyon Ridge Middle School. The best listener Kendall has ever met, Add is a special friend that any girl would be incredibly lucky to have. Even though Addison is an Aggie, the two find a way to overcome their differences for each others' sake ;).

Over the course of Reid's 4 years at UT, Ricky has probably spent the most time with him thanks to good ole Electrical Engineering. The two braved their rigorous major together, spending many, many nights in the EER and partnering up on almost all class projects. In addition, the two lived together their junior year and had the same class schedule practically all of college. Ricky is hardworking, supportive, and the best hype man around.

Ella Collins

Kendall and Ella may have spent the most amount of time together out of all these ladies despite being in different grades, going to different high schools and attending college in different states - all thanks to the great sport of swimming. Through sweat and tears, they have always had each others' back and share a bond that will never be broken. Ella has been a source of fun and laughter in Kendall's life for many many years.

Jerome Bell

Jerome has truly seen Reid and his worst and at his best. The two met in high school and ended up being roommates ALL 4 years of college (which is a feat in and of itself). From the infamous Dobie cafeteria sandwiches to learning how to meal prep actual food together, Jerome is a life-long friend of Reid's. He is loving, caring, thoughtful, and really good at dancing in September. Kendall plans to hit him up for living-with-Reid advice come late October.

Whenever Kendall and Joelie are asked how they know one another, there is always an awkward laugh and a shared moment of pondering, as it can really only be explained by the hand of God. Technically, the two first met when Joelie "slid into Kendall's DMs" to ask to go on a walk. After a year of losing touch, Kendall and Joelie found each other when they needed it most. The last semester of senior year was so sweet in large part because of their friendship. Kendall couldn't imagine her big day without this kind, strong, and faithful gal by her side.
