Bride
Maid of Honor
Kendal met Megan in middle school the most natural way possible: on MySpace. Over the past 10+ years, the two have become more like sisters and have gone through the absolute best and worst of times together, each scenario always ending with Taco Bell. Meg currently works as an oncology nurse in Ohio, administering chemotherapy and helping others every single day.
Bridesmaid
Kendal and Savannah met during their time in the lovely Marlington School District. The two ran track together and (for Kendal’s one year) played soccer together. They went to rival schools for college but were able to get past that and continue hanging out, spending countless late nights at the lovely Akron establishments. Savannah currently works in HR at Baker Construction in Ft. Lauderdale and is pursuing her Masters degree while working full time!
Bridesman
While Kendal and Alex went to very closely located high schools, they did not meet until college. Kendal helped to lift Alex up (literally) during their second year at Akron and Alex has been lifting Kendal up ever since. Alex is currently working as an HR Service Representative and as the cheerleading coach for Alliance High School, and also serves in the United States Air Force!
Bridesmaid
Kendal and Courtney met in PT school at Duke when Ryan FINALLY decided to introduce the two. We believe he waited so long because he knew we’d get along too well and he’d be in trouble - aka Courtney helping convince Ryan that him and Kendal should get a dog! Courtney is currently working for the Veterans Affairs Administration in Indiana and is pursuing her clinical specialty in pelvic health!
Bridesmaid
Kendal met Natalie during her first clinical rotation in PT school, where they bonded over being nearly the only females in their clinic. The two would often walk to the beach on their lunch break and spent time exploring Monterey together. The two now keep in contact even being on separate coasts, often spending nearly two hours on the phone catching up. Natalie is currently working as a physical therapist in Eugene, OR and has some very exciting plan in the works for the future!
Groom
Best Man
Graham and Ryan met at Duke when the pledged the same fraternity (PiKapp). Since then, Graham has gone on to graduate from Duke undergrad, Vanderbilt Med school and Wharton Business school. Did he have any of those degrees prior to meeting Ryan? No...I'm not saying that Graham's success is a direct product of being friends with Ryan, but I'm also not NOT saying that.
Groomsman
Adam is Ryan's oldest friend. He has been by Ryan's side through the best and worst of times. Adam has been working as an Items Analyst at LEGO since 2018. When he isn't helping LEGO build their empire, brick by brick, he is probably watching his Giants lose to Ryan's Eagles. Or his Celtics lose to Ryan's Nets. Or his Bruins lose to Ryan's Hurricanes.
Groomsman
So, there's this dude Brady who went to Duke and met a guy named Ryan who was already a sophomore. It's kind of funny because Brady seems to be following in Ryan's footsteps. Like, he went to the same college and even lived in the same dorm room that Ryan did when he was a freshman. Plus, he joined the same fraternity and worked for Duke Basketball just like Ryan did. Oh, and get this, they even wear the same shoe size! Brady's a big shot now as the GM of the Memphis Hustle, but Ryan's hoping to work for him someday. They're best buds like that.
Groomsman
Dan has been one of Ryan’s closest friends since pee-wee football. Dan has always been an avid lover of film and during his childhood he wrote/directed/starred in countless epic movies with Ryan, Adam and others as guest stars (none of them are on YouTube so definitely don’t try to find them). He is now living in Hollywood where he has impressively turned his childhood dreams into a reality.
Groomsman
Ian and Ryan became buds when Ryan came to visit Duke during his senior year of high school. Ryan didn't know it yet, but he and Ian were about to become tight. They both worked for the Duke Basketball team and were in the same fraternity. Eventually, Ian became Ryan's Big Brother (gotta shout out the ROC!). Ian's been a huge influence on Ryan's life and taught him so much. Ryan couldn't have asked for a better big bro.
Groomsman
Eamonn lived across the hall from Ryan as freshmen at Duke and they lived together during their sophomore year. Eamonn was a walk-on football player at Duke and now works as an Investment Analyst in Florida. Ryan and Eamonn have an abundance of memories together over the years. There have been 3am road trips, slap-bets, air horn wake-ups and so much more. But the one thing that has always been apparent is the fierce loyalty between them. Eamonn is the definition of a fox-hole guy.
Groomsman
Zach, aka Curtains (at the wedding, please ask him why this is his nickname), was a Duke Basketball manager alongside Ryan. He and Ryan lived together in Durham for a year and a half, developing an inseparable bond. He has been there through every step of Kendal and Ryan’s relationship and was vital in helping Ryan orchestrate the proposal. Currently, he is the Director of Scouting and Analytics for Duke Basketball.
Groomsman
Nick attended Duke Physical Therapy school with Ryan and subsequently lived with him in NYC. He was Ryan’s tour guide around the city since he was familiar with it from his days playing baseball at LIU Brooklyn. Nick was a standout pitcher in college, ranking #4 in all of D1 baseball his senior year. Feel free to question him about which pitching category he was #4 in.
Officiant
Luis studied at Duke Physical Therapy school alongside Kendal and Ryan. It's difficult to come across a person as authentic as Luis, who exudes kindness, consideration, and sociability. Luis and his wife Christina share a wonderful bond, which Kendal and Ryan admire and aspire to in their own relationship. Luis' admirable traits and outlook on life and love are what made Kendal and Ryan feel privileged when he accepted to officiate their ceremony.
