It all started as a classic "a guy walks into a bar" moment. They were both at the now-defunct Taps & Dolls in downtown Indianapolis with friends. Nick saw Kelsie at the bar and complimented her denim jacket with an Indy 500 patch on the back - and obviously, Kelsie can't resist a guy that knows how to appreciate good denim. So, they spent the rest of the evening together chatting, playing arcade-style NBA Jam, and laughing. Over the next few weeks of dating, they learned how compatible their laid-back personalities, musical tastes, and absurd sense of humors were - and the rest is history.

Nick proposed to Kelsie at sunset on the beach during their January 2023 vacation to the Florida Keys. It was perfect and beautiful for both of them, as the proposal was followed by laughter, happy tears, and a delicious, giant meal.
