FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kelsie James and Bright Assan
We have arranged a list of Frequently Asked Questions & provided answers. If your concerns are not answered here please feel free to reach out.
Question

Will alcohol be served?

Answer

Yes, alcohol will be served. However, we expect that your alcohol consumption reflects the dignity of the event and that you prioritize the safety of all present. We strongly ask that you set definite, risk-free limits that are well within the range of moderation. "... whether you are eating or drinking or doing anything else, do all things for God’s glory." — 1 Corinthians 10:31 “Do not be getting drunk with wine [or alcohol], in which there is debauchery, but keep getting filled with spirit.” —Ephesians 5:18

Question

How should I dress?

Answer

While the dress code is FORMAL, we also ask that your attire reflect the dignity of the event and our love for Jehovah & others. Jehovah God has not given us a list of rules of what we should or should not wear. Instead, he has provided us with Bible principles. Modesty, being one of those principles, involves respect for the feelings and opinions of others. A modest person would avoid clothes that are considered indecent, that draw undue attention, or that are likely to offend others. "Likewise, the women [and men] should adorn themselves in appropriate dress, with modesty and soundness of mind..." — 1 Timothy 2:9

Question

Where will the wedding be?

Answer

Once you RSVP you will see the time, location & other details about the wedding.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

This is a private event. We wish we could have everyone celebrate with us, however, we are prepared to host those who have RSVP'd. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. "...let all things take place decently and by arrangement." —1 Corinthians 14:40
