STAYING ON KIAWAH

There are several options on the Island, including private homes, villas, and condo rentals along with The Sanctuary Hotel & Resort. The easiest and often times most cost-effective option for villas and houses is through websites such as VRBO, AirBnB, etc. They generally offer reasonable prices and offer quite a few options! Guests can also book through Kiawah Island Golf Resort (KIGR) website. Our guests will receive 10% off their accommodations through KIGR. Booking through KIGR also gives you access to the complimentary on island shuttle. Uber/Lyft are available from the airport but do not operate in and around Kiawah for pick ups. If you aren't booking through KIGR, a rental car/personal transportation is highly recommended, as the island is too big to walk to our venues. If you are not staying on Kiawah itself, you will pick-up a guest pass at the first entrance onto the island. You will need this pass to access our weekend events. Please email carrington@mclean-events.com to notify us that you'll be staying off island.

Rentals On Kiawah

A variety of condo, villa, and home rentals are available across the island through independent rental agencies. We recommend the following resources outside of KIGR. For your convenience, we have a dedicated room block set aside for guests at The Charleston Marriott. This property is located just 40 minutes from the gate at Kiawah and just a few miles away from the heart of Downtown Charleston. Andell Inn, Kiawah Island

The Andell Inn is located right outside the entrance to the island and is a great option for guests who prefer not to stay at KIGR or rent a home / villa.

Flight

Charleston International Airport

Charleston International Airport (CHS) is about a 45 min drive from Kiawah. Uber/Lyft are available from the airport but do not operate in and around Kiawah. SC Express Car Service (843-860-0009) can be booked in advance for trips to and from Kiawah. This may be useful for your return trip to the airport.

Driving to Kiawah

If you are driving to Kiawah, you'll be given a gate pass at the entrance to the island. If you are not staying on island, please let the gate attendant know you are attending the Clemens-Kincheloe wedding when you arrive.
