Our story begins all the way back at the end of the year 2015. Olivia and her family had been long time volunteers and members of Elements City Church, where as I didn't start attending until late 2015 with my brother, Ryan. For years, we had been attending the same church in passing. Volunteer events, post-church gatherings, set-up and teardown, everything that you can imagine that goes on within the church was taking place with our paths crossing without us knowing. There was even a volunteer dinner held at one of our pastors residence that we attended at the same time, but not together. Despite Olivia having a great influence on preparing our meal for the evening, we somehow still never even did as little as strike up a conversation with each other! Throughout the next handful of years, life took us on drastically different paths. Olivia was selected for an internship with Kate Spade in New York, and shortly afterwards headed down to Orlando to take part in the Disney College Program in Walt Disney World. Once the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Olivia then moved back home and started working with the company that she works with now, Free People, as a Visual Merchandiser. While all of these events in Olivia's life were taking place, I was diving head first into my music career. I was a member of the University of Arizona drum line for 3 years before moving up to Oro Valley where I taught the drum line at Ironwood Ridge High School and received a promotion for the company I worked with at the time, Starbucks. Shortly after I moved, the pandemic hit, the store I was working at closed down for good, and I was moved to another store where my career with Starbucks ended. Once I left Starbucks, I then moved back to the east side of Tucson, which is where our paths finally crossed again. This time, not much time would pass before Olivia and I would finally start to talk to each other. After church one day, all of our friends went out to dinner at a Mexican food restaurant. From officially meeting each other in line waiting to order, to talking about our Hogwarts Houses (we're both Hufflepuffs and PROUD), and posting the same picture on our Instagram Stories, once we started talking, we couldn't stop. Our relationship was growing from that first fateful night at the restaurant from being friends, to romantic interests, to an official couple, and now, engaged to be married! We both believe that while the world may have disrupted our lives in 2020, God was working in us to heal, prepare our hearts, and bring us back together to begin the rest of our lives together.
