Located in an old pumphouse, this is Auna's favorite location of all of Colectivo's now dozens of branches. Auna used to walk to this particular café with her dad when visiting Milwaukee for the weekend before taking a stroll along the lakefront. It is also the first place that she tried coffee, back when Colectivo was still known as Alterra!

If you come into town a day early, check out one of the best fish fries in Wisconsin at the Lakefront Brewery! Complete with fried cod or walleye, cheese curds, local beer, and a polka band, it's as Wisconsin as you can get for a Friday night!

Since Amilinda opened in 2015, Greg's Spanish and Portuguese inspired cuisine has won numerous distinctions, including making Thrillest's lists of best restaurants and chefs in the Midwest and America at large on multiple occasions, Shepherd Express's chef of the year, numerous mentions in Milwaukee's top 30 restaurants, and in 2022, Greg was a James Beard Award Finalist.
The original home of Amilinda when it was just a pop-up restaurant on Saturday nights, the National is a great destination for breakfast or lunch. The turkey bacon brie sandwich with lingonberry jam is a personal favorite.

Brady Street is always worth a stroll if you have the time in Milwaukee, and if you have a sweet tooth, it doesn't get much better than Sciortino's. From fresh baked bread to doughnuts and cannoli, you can't go wrong!
