Colorado's capital city with plenty of dining, entertainment, and recreation options. While we have too many favorite things in Denver to list, some of our recommendations are: visiting the River North District (RiNo) and visiting the rotating art galleries, grabbing a beer at Epic Brewing Company, and sitting-down to some handmade pasta at Dio Mio; driving to Golden, a foothills town 15 minutes west of Denver, for a day hike on North Table, touring the Coors factory, and enjoying some pizza at Woody's Wood Fired Pizza; and visiting Downtown for a Rockie's game at Coor's Field or walking one of the many museums Denver has to offer, and grabbing a beer at one of our favorite breweries (and where we had our first date!), Woods Boss Brewing Company.
A trendy foothills city an hour south of Estes Park. Some of our recommendations are hiking the Flatirons right outside of town, touring the Celestial Seasonings tea room, and walking down Pearl Street for some cool shops and good food.
The town of Ft. Collins, sometimes referred to as the "Napa Valley of Beer", is home to 20 different craft breweries. If you like beer, we recommend taking one of the many guided bus tours that take you to several breweries, all with generous tastings. These tours often require advanced booking, which can be made through their websites. In addition to the beer, Ft. Collins also offers great hiking, such as Horsetooth Reservoir and Coyote Ridge Trail, along with great dining options like Restaurant 415. Ft. Collins is a 1 hour drive east of Estes Park. We want everyone to be safe and recommend groups traveling with a designated driver, or a plan to stay in Ft. Collins for the night, if you plan on drinking since there is no public transportation between the two towns and ride-shares can cost upwards of $200.
