French’s Point is situated near Stockton Springs in the mid-coast region, with excellent local options for dining, shopping, galleries, and recreational activities. Picturesque nearby coastal villages include Camden, Rockport, Belfast, Bucksport, Blue Hill, and Ellsworth. Fly into to Boston, MA; Portsmouth, NH; Portland, ME or Bangor International Airport, ME (BGR, our recommendation), a 40-minute drive from French’s Point. Because the area is relatively rural, a rental car could be useful. Bus, taxi, and car services are also available in the region, but limited.
