Cathedral Rock trailhead
This is one of our favorite hikes on Mt. Charleston! It's short but steep, and gives you great views of the surrounding area.
Lee Canyon Ski Resort
Lee Canyon is on the other side of the mountain from the hotel. There's a chance that there will still be snow in the area around the ski resort in April, but it's unlikely that skiing will still be open. There are also more hiking trails around the resort.
Centennial Hills
Centennial Hills is the closest suburb to Mt. Charleston. There are Smiths grocery stores, restaurants and gas stations just off the highway. Gilcrease Orchard is a fun place to visit in the area, where you can walk around the farm and pick seasonal produce.
The Las Vegas Strip
The Las Vegas Strip has endless entertainment options, and is located about 45 minutes away from Mt. Charleston.
The Golden Tiki
One of our favorite bars in Las Vegas! It's in the neighborhood where we first lived when we moved to town.
The Arts District
This is the neighborhood where we currently live in downtown Las Vegas! The Arts District is full of antique stores, coffee shops and fun bars. Some of our favorite places are the Silver Stamp, ReBar, Makers and Finders and the Antique Ally Mall.
Red Rock Canyon
Red Rock Canyon is located about 50 minutes from Mt. Charleston, and is full of stunning hiking trails and scenic views of the desert. If you plan to visit the park during your stay, you can visit the website to schedule an entrance time during busy periods.
