This is one of our favorite hikes on Mt. Charleston! It's short but steep, and gives you great views of the surrounding area.
Lee Canyon is on the other side of the mountain from the hotel. There's a chance that there will still be snow in the area around the ski resort in April, but it's unlikely that skiing will still be open. There are also more hiking trails around the resort.
Centennial Hills is the closest suburb to Mt. Charleston. There are Smiths grocery stores, restaurants and gas stations just off the highway. Gilcrease Orchard is a fun place to visit in the area, where you can walk around the farm and pick seasonal produce.
The Las Vegas Strip has endless entertainment options, and is located about 45 minutes away from Mt. Charleston.
