Like pretty much every other couple during COVID 19, Kate and Kris met on a dating app! After having our first date delayed due to snow, we finally met right after Valentine's Day in 2021 (so naturally, Kris brought Kate discounted valentine's candy and they exchanged many v-day memes). We quickly became a couple a few dates later, as Kris's birthday was coming up and Kate was not about to spoil the man if it wasn't official (we promise, the conversation was much more romantic than it sounds)!

On the guise of taking a vacation after Kate returned from her New York summer, Kris and Kate headed up to Portland, Maine! It was the perfect destination for them both -- Kris loves the lighthouses and the connections to Stephen King, and Kate has always wanted to live in New England. After 12+ hours of driving and some sprucing up in the hotel, Kris got down on one knee at dinner the first night and proposed! After clarifying that he wasn't joking around this time (as he's known to do), Kate said yes! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you in October!
