BY AIR We recommend flying into Vancouver International Airport (YVR) in Canada, the closest airport to Squamish! You could also fly into Seattle International Airport (SEA) if you're interested in a bit of a road trip. From the airport in Vancouver you can choose to either rent a car, or utilize one of the local shuttle companies! Check out: yvrskylynx.com for a great shuttle option! BY CAR Squamish is easily accessible by driving up I-5 to Canada. At the border, I-5 becomes BC-99, which will take you all the way through Vancouver and up the coast to Squamish! Coming from the East, you could also take BC-1 across BC to Vancouver, and then BC-99 North! For reference, Squamish is about an hour and a half drive from the border crossing at Blaine, WA.

BORDER CROSSING Whether you fly or drive, you will need your passport, or enhanced WA Driver's License, to cross into Canada. If you do not have these documents, you will not be allowed to enter the country. Please check out CA.gov for additional information about border crossing. The border crossing can be very busy, so if you are driving, please allow yourself plenty of extra time!
