While we wish we could celebrate with everyone, our American Wedding has a very limited capacity. A formal invitation will be sent for all invited guests and an RSVP is required. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate guests that we do not have a RSVP for or guests whose name is not listed on the formal invitation.
Ladies may purchase a Gele (hairtie) using the link listed below. The Kalu’s family will be wearing red a Gele. Kara’s family will be wearing a green Gele. Yes, please see the travel and accommodations page for hotel room block information. Note, we have room blocks for our Traditional Nigerian wedding as well as our American wedding. This allows guest to be near each venue.
We request that you please be respectful of our weddings and arrive on time. For Friday, April 14th please arrive at Stone Ridge Event Center by 7:00 PM EST to ensure you have a great seat for the festivities and open bar! For Sunday, April 16 please arrive at Southern Exchange Ballrooms by 4:30 PM EST as entrance will not be permitted once the ceremony starts.
Yes, the dress code is formal with black tie optional. This includes evening dresses (usually mid or floor length) and a dark suit or tuxedo.
Unfortunately, we can only accommodate a few close family children. In order to allow everyone, including parents, a weekend of relaxation, we have chosen for our wedding weekend to be an (almost) adult-only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the weekend off!
Yes. Please use the parking garage located at 150 Carnegie Way Atlanta, GA 30303. There is a $6.00 parking fee for this event. To access Southern Exchange Ballroom, take the elevator to the 6th floor (green) and use the Sky Bridge. There is free parking for the Traditional Nigerian Wedding.
Yes! Also, if you are sick, displaying any symptoms of Covid-19, or have recently been exposed to someone with covid-19, we ask that you do not attend for the safety and well-being of our family and friends.
