Here comes the brides!

Kara and Bailey met in their kindergarten gymnastics class when Bailey kicked Kara in the face, no joke. When Bailey went to do a handstand, Kara was standing a bit too close, and Bailey's foot hit Kara in the jaw...Talk about a meet-cute!

A few years later Kara and Bailey met again in their 6th-grade choir class and became close friends once high school started. After 10th grade, the couple became official on June 24th, 2014, and were joined at the hip. From football games, prom, and graduation Kara and Bailey fell in love. The girls went to college together and took on jobs for the City of Denton before moving in together after their 5-year anniversary.

Kara and Bailey have been talking about marrying each other since the legalization of same-sex marriage in 2015 and the idea of getting married on their 10-year anniversary has been the dream ever since. In December 2022 the couple got engaged and started their wedding planning process right away. They are looking forward to celebrating their 10-year anniversary with their family and friends on their wedding day, June 24th, 2024!
