Eva Newman

Maid of Honor

Eva is Kalina's younger sister and the middle sister of the three Newman girls. Before Alexa completed our trifecta, Eva shared a room with Kalina at the house we grew up in, sleeping in the bottom bunk and wondering what possibly Kalina was up to all night (playing Animal Crossing on her Nintendo DS). While we fought like cats and dogs as children, we are as close as can be today. Eva lives across the Potomac river in Arlington's Ballston neighborhood and works as a RN in the oncology unit at Children's National hospital in D.C. On most weekends, you can find Eva out hiking, reading a book, or checking out a brewery—all favorite activities we share as sisters.

Alexandra Newman

Maid of Honor

Born almost exactly 10 years after Kalina, Alexa is the youngest of the Newman sisters and a junior at Yorktown High School. She's better at guitar than Kalina could ever hope to be and somehow manages Cross Country, Track and Field, volunteering, and waitressing while making time for friends and family. She promises not to roast Kalina and Alex too hard for being cringey millennials and like her sisters, loves spending time outdoors and in nature. Like Eva, she's psyched to finally have a brother in the family.

Gabby Peña

Gabby is a sophomore at George Washington University, where she is studying computer science. Gabby grew up with her big brother Alex playing video games with her, helping her with school, and teaching her how to drive. Now she’s excited she gets to add a big sister to her family too. When she's not exploring Washington, D.C., Gabby is listening to her favorite K-pop bands and going to concerts and events.

Kat Dvorscak

Kat first met Kalina at freshman orientation at Boston University, where the two of them quickly became fast friends and roommates, living together their sophomore and senior years. At BU, throughout countless evenings out (we miss Loretta's Last Call every day), ups and downs, early mornings, winter storms, Dunkin' runs, movie nights and everything in between, we were by each other's side. Kat lives in Clifton Park, New York where she works at CapitalCare Family Practice Guilderland and is studying to get her masters in clinical mental health counseling. (Ask her about her family's new pony).

Kimberly Estoque

Kim and Kalina met the first week of sixth grade, sitting next to each other in math class, smack dab in each other's awkward phase. She helped Kalina dye streaks of every color of the rainbow in her hair, was there for all the runs to Hot Topic, school dances, text messages on flip phones, evenings spent loitering at the mall, and all of the trails and tribulations of growing up. In many ways, we're still the same twelve-year-old girls in spirit—and excited for all of the adventures ahead. Kim works at George Washington University, where she is also perusing her masters degree in Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management.

Callum Wayman

Groomsman

Callum met Alex in 2019 during an internship in DC. Callum had been looking for a local D&D group to join and by chance, he found the group that Alex had also joined. From those early games in Maryland and online, Callum knew that he wanted to be friends with Alex beyond the occasional D&D session so he began to reach out to do other things and they quickly bonded over shared loves of movies, food, and video games. Since then Alex and Callum have had many good bites throughout DC and enjoyed many more D&D sessions. Callum met Kalina, who quickly became friends with Callum's partner Zoe. The four of them have now enjoyed movie nights, Friendsgivings, and a host of other fun activities. Callum is happy to be standing with Alex on his wedding day as a groomsperson and knows that he and Kalina will enjoy many happy years of love and joy.

Nicki "Goose" DeGuzman

A native of Virginia's Seven Cities, Nicki graduated from the Naval Academy and met Alex shortly after moving north while stationed out of Fort Meade, MD. Nicki bonded with Alex over video games, board games, an appreciation for good food, and a mutual respect over the creation of excellent comedy. He now lives in DC and enjoys photography, collecting vinyl, boxing, and fighting with his cats Waffles and Pepper. Oh, also he loves his wife. Now he’s excited to welcome Alex into the fold as an official wife-guy.

Trent Andrus

Trent was born and raised in Louisiana and met Alex and Kalina through a mutual friend after moving to DC in 2021. Since then, Trent and Alex have grown close through shared interests in culture, technology, and athletics. Trent's day job is testing simulation software. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar, listening to music, and writing a music blog. Trent loves love and cannot wait to celebrate the union of his close friends!
