We’re getting married!

While they were watching Fourth of July fireworks on the beach and, unknowingly, standing only a few yards away from each other, they matched with each other on Tinder. After a few weeks of texting back and forth, Kaleb asked Ashley on their first date. This date lasted over six hours because neither of them wanted the day to end. After three weeks of spending every possible moment together, Kaleb asked Ashley to officially be his girlfriend, on the beach underneath summer fireworks just like the first night it all began.

On their five-year anniversary of dating, Kaleb planned a scavenger hunt around Virginia Beach with stops at landmark locations of their relationship. First, they visited the beach where Kaleb asked Ashley to be his girlfriend exactly five years prior. Here, he gave her a note that read “Where we started, our first kiss as a couple underneath the stars,” along with a pair of diamond earrings and a bag of Hershey’s kisses. Next, they stopped at the corner of Dick’s Sporting Goods and Dave and Buster’s, where they met in person for the first time. This note read “Where I first ran into you,” and he paired it with a new pair of running shoes she’d been eyeing. Their third spot was Mount Trashmore, the park where they had their first date. Kaleb handed Ashley a note that read “Where our forever began.” He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She of course said YES! Their final destination was Back Bay Farmhouse Brewing to celebrate with food and drinks, and to take in the amazing moments of the day.
