Rachel

Maid of Honor

Kait and Rachel met in college during sorority recruitment. We were lucky enough to go through recruitment together, end up in the same sorority, and eventually became roommates! Besides Laramie, Rachel is always Kait's first call for any problem, exciting news, and everything in between. Rachel helped Laramie in planning the proposal, and she was his right-hand (wo)man ensuring every last detail was perfect! Kait is honored to have her standing by her side on the big day.

Sam

Maid of Honor

Kait met Sam in college after both getting into the same sorority. They easily became best friends, and they even spent months traveling the world together in 2015. Sam is the planner, Kait is the do-er. These two make the perfect friendship pair! Sam lives in Denver, Colorado with her fiance, Ian, and Laramie and Kait take an annual fourth of July trip to visit. Sam got engaged shortly after Kait (yay!), and the two have bounced wedding ideas off each other throughout the entire journey. Kait is so lucky to have Sam by her side, and we look forward to celebrating her next!

Tia

Bridesmaid

Kait and Tia have been friends for ages. Our first playdate goes all the way back to first grade! We used to gossip about boys and dream about our futures together wondering what they will look like. Kait was lucky enough to stand by Tia when she married her husband, Kevyn, in October, 2019, and she is even luckier to have Tia stand by her! Kevyn and Tia were kind enough to be there to help Laramie propose, and they have also been our local eyes on the ground during the wedding process. We couldn't imagine life without them!

Brandon

Bridesman

Kait and Brandon have been besties forever, and him, Tia, and Kait have been the best friendship trio anyone could ask for. Brandon is always up for a trip, and visited Kait in college, South Carolina, and Baton Rouge! Bradon helped keep Laramie calm in the hours leading up to the proposal, and we were so happy to have him there. No big event would be complete without him!

Ty

Best Man

Ty is pulling double duty at the wedding. Not only is he Laramie’s best man, but he is also the officiant. They first met in 2016 while Laramie was finishing his Master’s work at EIU. Ty gave Larame his first internship in Strength & Conditioning! After the initial thought, “oh he’s my boss; I have to impress him,” wore off, the two have been getting along famously. Whether it has been after work drinks, at the dog park with Capt Joe and Lulu, or spending hours on the phone talking grilling, lifting, netflixing, or living, Ty has always been there. When Ty and Laramie get together, they bring meaning to “anything worth doing is worth overdoing.”

Sebastian

Groomsman

Seb has the lone distinction of being an international member of the wedding. That’s right, he’s from Canada, eh. Seb was first introduced through Ty as a recommendation to join Laramie on the Southern Strength Staff. Ty assured Laramie that Seb was the guy for the job, and he was more than right. Seb turned out to be a great coach and an even better friend. Through carpooling to work, hanging out with Lulu at the dog park, and convincing Laramie that NFL Redzone would be the single greatest investment in life... then watching NFL Redzone every Sunday, the two became great friends. Despite having moved back to Canada for his career, the two stay in constant contact discussing life, lifting, and everything else under the sun!

Michael

Groomsman

Michael and Laramie met through some friends of friends early on in their EIU Days. Despite what Michael will tell you, Laramie did not introduce himself by saying, “Hi I’m Laramie and I’m from Carmi, Illinois.” Together they have won several Intramural Championships, become connoisseurs of music, and spent many hours online shooting the breeze. Although Michael is 11 hours away, they still love talking every weekend about how hard it is to be a sad Bears fan.

Sawyer

Groomsman

Like Michael, Sawyer and Laramie met through mutual friends. Again, Despite what Sawyer will tell you Laramie did not introduce himself by saying “Hi I’m Laramie and I’m from Carmi, Illinois.” Sawyer coined the term “Donuts and Destruction” for his, Laramie, and Michaels tradition of getting donuts and playing video games on Saturday mornings. Even though he lives out of town the 2 are always down to have an Old Fashion while watching and discussing their favorite movies.
