Sedona is an Arizona desert town near Flagstaff that’s surrounded by red-rock buttes, steep canyon walls and pine forests. It’s noted for its mild climate and vibrant arts community. Uptown Sedona is dense with New Age shops, spas and art galleries. On the town’s outskirts, numerous trailheads access Red Rock State Park, which offers bird-watching, hiking and picnicking spots.
One of the world's wonders is only a couple hours away! Unique combinations of geologic color and erosional forms decorate a canyon that is 277 river miles (446km) long, up to 18 miles (29km) wide, and a mile (1.6km) deep. The South Rim is open all year. The North Rim is open for the season.
This is probably one of our favorite restaurants EVER! We spent many date nights, birthdays, and family meals at this place. They've got a fun gastro pub vibe with a LOT of craft beers on tap. Kaitlin's favorite food is the Churchill grilled cheese with their home made pop tart for dessert! Ross' favorite is their chicken sandwich!
When we bought our first house in Mesa, we were thrilled by the countless Mexican food options within 5 minutes from our home! If you happen to be in the Mesa area, this Backyard Taco location is very close to our first house location and is one of our favorite Mexican food spots in the valley! We were here more often then we care to admit, but SO WORTH IT.
With a speakeasy vibe and comprehensive (delicious) drink menu, this quickly became one of our favorite cocktail bars in the valley! If you find yourself in downtown phoenix for a night, check it out!
A Colorado favorite that came to AZ, this is Kaitlin's favorite brunch spot! This location is on ASU campus and a short distance from our college home near Tempe Town Lake. Highly recommend everything on their menu (my favorite was the breakfast pot pie)!
A beautiful venue with a wonderful restaurant! This also happens to be the place Ross proposed to me the night before we headed to the Galapagos Islands!

Ted's Hotdogs only has locations in New York State and one in Tempe. In college we frequented this amazing hog dog joint quite often.
Westgate shopping center has shops, restaurants, bars, and is home to the AZ Cardinal's Football Stadium and Arizona Coyotes Hockey Arena! Still from NJ we cheer on our AZ Coyotes from afar.
