Cocktail – that means a little fancy (relax, you don’t have to rent a tux! ). We figure why should we have all the fun being the only glamorous people in attendance. So get out your fancy duds and feel like a movie star! (And before you ask: yes, that means NO JEANS!)
You will be able to RSVP on our website for your entire family. If the RSVP page says "guest" then you may bring a guest. If not, we would like for just those listed on the RSVP page to join our celebration.
It was a difficult decision for us but there are only a select few children we have invited. We would like to keep this event exclusively invite only, for cost and liability reasons. You will be able to RSVP on our website. From there you will see all the members of your immediate family that are invited. If your children are listed, we would love for them to join us! If they are invited, you are responsible to watch your children for the entirety of the festivities. (If you decide to leave them with a babysitter for a mommy/daddy night, it'll be our little secret :) Just decline to attend on the RSVP page for them)
We are planning on having the ceremony outside, weather permitting. As such you should dress accordingly. Mid-October is typically mid 60s. The Ceremony should last about 30 min then we will head inside for cocktail hour.
We have an indoor back up plan for our ceremony. We have reserved a stunning little mid 19th century chapel that is only one mile down the road. The day of, please go to the address listed on your invitation. Once you get there we will have individuals directing you on where you should be for the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the bride and groom will be taking pictures nearby. Guests can head straight to the bottom floor of the barn where we will have cocktails, mocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Enjoy yourselves, relax and listen to some amazing music. Weather permitting, grab a bean bag and catch a quick game of corn hole. (Bet you never did that in high heels before).
Please RSVP "will not attend" via our website so we can plan accordingly. The last thing the bride wants to do is chase down your RSVP right before the wedding!!
The deadline to RSVP is August 31, 2022. Please RSVP using the RSVP tab on our website. If you have any issues with RSVPing, please reach out to the bride at kathomas2022@gmail.com. We will not be accepting RSVPs via mail, email, text, etc.
We recommend that you arrive half an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled! It is a bit of a drive so plan ahead! We don't want you walking in with the Bride :)
Yes. you can visit the registry on our website for our newlywed fund. If you want to skip the fee on the newlywed fund, we will have a card box and QR code printout at the gift table to gift whatever you are comfortable with. We are also registered on Amazon https://amzn.to/3zBRcJd.
Please check out the travel page for more information on hotels close to the venue.
If you decide to bring a gift, I would suggest leaving it in your car until after the cocktail hour. Once we open up the reception area, there will be a table for you to place any gifts.
There is a shuttle that will run from Holiday Inn Harrisburg (Hershey Area) I-81, an IHG Hotel. You will be able to see more details on the travel page.
