Yes. We fell in love with the venue on first sight and know you will too! Unfortunately, mostly due to rescheduled covid weddings, Old Edwards was all sold out of Saturday’s for 2022. With Justin working in football, we are also very limited to a late June or early July wedding so he can attend as well :) We are so greatly appreciative of all the time & travel it will take for guests to get there. I promise it is much better than the alternative of a 100 degree July wedding with 100% humidity in Tampa, FL. My hair thanks you as well.
Yes. A lot of it.
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit or a sports coat. Tie optional.
Absolutely perfect. The Highlands is 4,118 feet up. Expect cool nights and mornings and mid to upper 70s during the day. Maybe in the 80s if they’re having a warmer summer day.
The Farm at Old Edwards Inn about 3.1 miles from the Inn. The ceremony will take place in the Orchard House and the reception will follow right across the driveway in the “Farm” building. No, there are no animals; not that kinda farm. Cocktail hour will take place in the apple orchard weather permitting. Every event is within steps of the next, and there are paved roads and sidewalks throughout. It is very flat in relation to the rest of the town.
Both. The beauty of this venue is that both the ceremony and reception buildings have floor to ceiling windows that can be opened. Outdoor vibes with AC? It don’t get no better than that!
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Attendants will be there to guide you to either the Apple Orchard (weather permitting) or the patio of the Farm for cocktails.
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
There will be Old Edwards shuttles running throughout the evening to take guests to and from the venue. Pickup will be right behind Old Edwards Inn on Church Street. The beauty of the Highlands is every hotel downtown is within walking distance, so even if you are not staying on property you can be there within minutes. You may also drive to the Inn as there are quite a few public parking spots throughout town. If you wish to drive to the venue, there are plenty of parking spaces on site as well.
We recommend that you plan to arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled! It is about a 15 minute ride to the venue from the Inn. Please plan arrival to the Inn/ bus ride accordingly :)
Yes. Parking is completely free in The Highlands as well as at the Farm. There are around 100+ parking spots at the Farm.
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
Old Edwards has blocked 10 rooms at the Inn and 10 rooms at 200 main. Rooms are reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Please check “Travel” tab for additional suggestions.
Yes. The Farm at Old Edwards Inn is rather flat in comparison to the rest of the area with plenty of paved sidewalks and driveways throughout.
Yes! We ask you wait until the reception to show off how much fun you’re having. Don’t forget the hashtag #youhadmeatsperos
Zola & Amazon.
Yes! We will be meeting with the chef at Old Edwards a few months prior to the wedding. The menu will be custom created depending on which fresh veggies are blossoming at the Farm :) stay tuned for updates.
