Andrea had just moved out to Boston to start a new job in the summer of 2017. Little did she know she was about to meet a very special someone shortly after her move! Andrea went out with a few friends to Capo, a local bar where she met Justin for the first time. To be exact, it was August 3 (Tom Brady’s birthday) so a very memorable day for Justin to begin with. Andrea was feeling bold that night and went up to Justin and a few of his friends who were playing darts across the room. She said to Justin, “if you get a bullseye, I’ll buy you a bud light.” Crazy enough, Justin hit a bullseye and the rest is history. Fast forward to a week or two later, Justin and Andrea went on their first official date to Rosa Mexicana. The next day, Andrea had to fly back to the Midwest to officially graduate from college and remembers Justin texting her congratulations. Once back in Boston, they went on more and more dates and kept having more and more fun together. As the weeks progressed, they got more serious and Andrea asked Justin if they were boyfriend and girlfriend yet, his answer was yes. A few (four) years later, it was finally going to be her turn to say yes. Justin came up with the ultimate plan to surprise Andrea. He decided their upcoming trip to Boston was the prime time. They were flying from Chicago to Boston to celebrate Christmas with Justin’s family. Andrea worked during the day and was starving by the time they were going to leave for their dinner reservation that was not actually planned. They were going to walk to a nearby restaurant, but instead Justin was going to walk her through a tunnel of white Christmas lights. Andrea remembers being annoyed that Justin wanted her to walk through this tunnel that was in the opposite direction of their reservations. She quickly realized from the nice things he started saying that something big was about to happen! He got down on his knee and she couldn’t believe her eyes. After the ring was on her finger, Justin turned Andrea around saying, “look who’s here!” All Andrea could see was a big camera and thought it was just a photographer until the camera lowered and she saw her sister Carla. “My sister!!” is all she could say, and they both cried & hugged to celebrate. After the initial shock, it was time to call Andrea’s mom! Her dad knew the timeline of everything so was expecting the call and made sure they answered right away. Andrea quickly flashed her sparkly finger, and her mom couldn’t believe it and was beyond excited! Now the proposal really sunk in and they stopped at Ciao Bella in the North End where they called their family and friends. The final stop on their list was to surprise Justin’s family, who had no idea he was going to propose! The reactions were priceless, and they got to celebrate for the rest of the night (and weekend) with plenty, plenty of champagne and love. Next stop, the alter!
