Question

Why Rome?

Answer

For Justin, the fascination with Roman history has been a lifelong passion. Justin has studied the emperors and conquests of Ancient Rome for many years. The incredible architecture, grand ruins, and tales of emperors have always captivated his imagination. On the other hand, Tarin is enamored with the mesmerizing art, rich cuisine, and romantic culture of Italy. She had the incredible opportunity to study in Florence in the summer of 2016, and her paternal grandmothers family hails from Calabria, a breathtaking southern region known for its warm hospitality and rich heritage. By choosing Rome, we hope to create an unforgettable experience for both ourselves and our beloved guests. We want to share our love and passion for this magnificent city with all of you.

Question

Dress codes

Answer

Wedding Dress Code: In the spirit of celebration and comfort, we wish to inform you that there is no official dress code for our wedding. We encourage you to wear whatever makes you feel most at ease; however, should you seek guidance, semi-formal attire, such as suits or blazers and comfortable flowing dresses would be warmly welcomed. In the spirit of adding a touch of ancient Roman charm to our festivities, we kindly invite you to consider wearing shades of purple. In ancient times, this regal color adorned the robes of Roman royalty, symbolizing majesty and celebration. Embracing this tradition, we invite you to join us in honoring the rich history and culture that surrounds us in the heart of Rome. When touring Rome: For the Vatican, as well as other religious museums/ monuments in Italy, there is a strict dress code. Entry will be denied for guests with bare shoulders, stomachs, or short shorts until a shawl or additional clothing is purchased, so keep that in mind! The avg temperature in Rome in October is typically 58 - 72 F.

Question

Will there be a block of hotel rooms for guests?

Answer

We have decided not to reserve a block of hotel rooms for our wedding guests. We understand that everyone has different budgets and varying expectations when it comes to travel and accommodations. We want to ensure that each of you have the freedom to choose the accommodation that best suits your preferences and financial circumstances. By not reserving a specific block, we hope to give you the flexibility to select accommodations that align with your individual needs and desires.

Question

Will there be a reception?

Answer

In lieu of a traditional reception, we have decided to ‘do as the Romans do,’ and guests are invited to a traditional Italian multi-course meal with wine pairings following the ceremony.
