The tale of Sean and Julie started like many other modern-day love stories, an internet dating site. Sean stumbled across Julie’s very new profile and sent a message under the assumption that she was located within a ‘5-mile radius’ from his location. Little did he know that she was from another planet called Rhode Island that specializes in Del’s Lemonade, party pizza, and coffee milk. Several days after their initial email exchanges, Sean emailed Julie and said, ‘You’re from Rhode Island and I’m located just outside of Boston. Do you want to do this?’ Despite an ill-lit profile picture featuring a charming man and his cat, she said yes, and they set up a date for that weekend. Their first date was at Dave & Buster’s, which lead Sean to believe that he might have found a girl who appreciates video games as much as he does, but truthfully, Julie wanted nothing more than an opportunity to play skeeball. After some dinner, drinks, conversation, and a goodnight kiss, the two parted ways for the evening but quickly made plans to meet up the following week. As days turned to weeks and weeks to months, Sean and Julie took the next step in their relationship by moving into a beautiful apartment where they still reside. After multiple hangry tantrums, a few toilet paper shortages, some wasp attacks, and a mouse or two, Sean and Julie found their rhythm and sense of humor as cohabitants, and their relationship and love grew stronger. On February 28, 2021, Julie's 34th birthday, she was presented with a blank birthday card with the most adorable golden retriever puppy on the front. Sean told Julie to close her eyes as he got down on one knee. When she opened her eyes, he produced a box and said, “Will you?” After what felt like an eternity of Sean kneeling in front of her and repeatedly saying “Yes, I’m sure”, she finally said Yes.
