It's no secret that Vail was the preferred vacation spot for former President Gerald Ford and his wife, Betty. In fact, Betty Ford became known by locals as the "First Lady of the Vail Valley" because of her efforts to help this mountain community flourish. In honor of her generosity, the Vail Alpine Garden Foundation created this beautiful botanical garden in her name. Visitors to the garden can enjoy stunning views of the Rocky Mountains while strolling through brightly colored flowerbeds, streams, and waterfalls.

The Booth Falls Trail is one of the most popular hikes in the Eagles Nest Wilderness. This 4.2-mile out-and-back trail near Vail, Colorado, is generally considered a moderately challenging route and takes an average of (3) hours to complete. The area offers incredible views of rivers, valleys, untouched aspen grove forests, and the steep rocky peaks of the Gore Range. This is a very popular area for hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. There is no parking at the trailhead, you'll need to take the shuttle from the parking area down the road. There is no parking in the surrounding neighborhood, which is strictly enforced. Classes are hosted every Saturday from 10AM-11AM at Mid-Vail, located on the lower level of the Mid-Vail deck (season to commence mid-June). Afterwards enjoy prizing and giveaways courtesy of Nature Valley. Mountain top yoga tickets are available for purchase at the Lionshead and Vail Village ticket offices. Mats are provided upon request.
