This is a great place to go horseback riding, have a cocktail on their patio (with a superb view of the continental divide) or a have an awesome steak dinner from their ranch.
For those looking for some hiking or downhill mountain biking adventure
This place has 5 star food that is moderately expensive but worth every penny. They have a rotating menu with a few staples. If there is a special occasion, this is our place!
Owned by one of our good friends, this place is the ultimate post adventure stop. They usually have 8-10 beers on tap and the atmosphere is pure mountain town. They don't serve food, but you can bring food from any of the numerous restaurants nearby. This is the best patio in Winter Park!
Tapas style food in large portions and the best craft cocktails in town.
Go for a stroll along the lake, hike to Adam's Falls and/or check out all the cute shops and restaurants in Grand Lake! We like stopping at World's End Pub for a drink.
For those looking for some easy hiking right next to Arapaho Valley Ranch. There is a really nice loop around the lake and watch out for moose!
There is fly fishing everywhere you look up here! A couple of Jubil’s favorite spots: Windy Gap (Colorado river): drive 2 miles west of granby, park on the south side of the river. Wade across water right off the parking spot and continue hiking 2 min to the next water crossing. Fish there. Fraser canyon (Fraser river): drive to tabernash and go through tabernash, cross the bridge on 40 and take your first left. When it “y’s” take another left, this turns to gravel for about 1 mile. Take another left immediately after crossing small creek. Drive this gravel about 3-4 miles until you see signs on the left for Fraser river access, park here. Now follow the hiking trail about 1 mile Dow. To the river and fish downstream. This is a gorgeous canyon and good fishing. Highway 40 fishing (Colorado River): drive west out of granby to the town of Hot Sulphur Spings. There is fishing for the next 10 miles at marked areas. This is a gorgeous drive!
