March 1st, 2024! Please & thank you. (P.S. those ridiculous letters say RSVP)
Please dress up a little! We are hoping for formal, dressy, and modest. And per the request of the Bride & Groom, bring your dancing shoes!!! We would also recommend bringing an umbrella in case of rain, or a least a warm jacket/raincoat!
While we would love to accommodate everyone and their kiddos, we want mom and dad to have a night off to enjoy our wedding as well. Unless explicit on your invitation, please do not assume your kids are invited. That being said, all nursing babies are welcome. Please reach out to either Erin or Andrew directly if you think this would keep you from being able to attend our wedding, more than anything we want the people we love there to celebrate with us!
Please arrive by 12:45, at least 15 minutes before the Wedding Mass begins at 1:00 sharp. You will need a little time to park, walk to the Church, and find seats!
For the Nuptial Mass (Ceremony)~ There are 5 parking lots around the school and parish, the best ones are on the corners of SW Dosch Rd. and SW Patton/Greenleaf Rds. For those who need an easier walking traverse, there is a parking lot just inside the school and rectory to the right as you drive up Greenleaf Rd. There is an additional upper school parking lot as you continue past the lower lots on Greenleaf up the hill to the right. Please refrain from using the main lot by the Church entrance unless given explicit permission by the Bride or Groom, it will be reserved for priests, and our eldest guests. For the Reception ~ If you are driving to the reception, The Exchange has a parking lot below the building that is open to all guests free of charge and will have a security guard monitoring it for the duration of the festivities. From NE 3rd St; You can either turn onto/or stay right on NE Davis St. and go down the drive into the North end of the lot OR turn West down SE Ankeny toward 2nd St. to get to the lower lot from the South end. There will be signs on where to enter the building from below and directing you to the ballroom.
No, we apologize for any inconvenience. There will be a 2- 2.5 hour pause in festivities between the Mass and Reception during which we would gladly encourage our guests to drop off their cars at home, carpool, and or take Lyft/Uber if possible to the reception and home, especially if you are planning on enjoying several beverages! Our most sincere request to all of our guests; please do not drink and drive! Thank you!!
