Bailee met Coral in college through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship as little naive freshmen. Through serving together on leadership, their friendship blossomed into an adventurous, intentional and endearing bond. Coral makes Bailee do spiritual push-up, but Bailee makes Coral do actual push-ups. Somehow, it just works!

Every story starts somewhere. For Josh and Bryan, that story began with their serendipitous meeting at college orientation. Since then, they would meet again as freshman roommates, live together for 5 years, graduate together, become travel companions and lifelong friends. One of Bryan's favorite memories is watching Josh ace a hole in one during their first time playing golf together.

Coral and Alex met in college through InterVarsity where they served in leadership and planned many fun events for the chapter. If there's one thing that they excel in, it's planning intentional fun and building community. They were also roommates and have supported each other through life's ups and down with lots of dancing and laughter along the way!

Josh and Michael became friends through Bryan and became close when they both went on InterVarsity's Global Urban Trek (where he always thought Coral would have been a good match for Josh). Living together in their last year of college solidified their friendship, where they had lots of hi-jinks and hiking adventures. In 2019, Josh visited Michael in LA where they watched the annual Nissei Week Parade. Coral also wanted to see Josh so she joined them in Little Tokyo. You can spot Josh and Coral's first unofficial LA date next to the stoplight in this video: https://youtu.be/atM4StFFAIs. Michael managed to convince Josh to move to LA in 2020 where they had lots of socially distanced adventures, including finding the best bagels in LA, caring for Michael's cat Yuzu, having a Kamayan for Josh's bday, and much much more. Since Michael likes to play matchmaker, Michael pushed Josh to pursue Coral and takes a tiny bit of credit for their relationship and the party happening in July!

Alyssa and Coral met when Coral was born, famously nine months and one day after Alyssa. Some even say that Alyssa's birth was so chill that it inspired Coral's parents to give it a shot, but either way, Alyssa is so grateful to have a cousin and friend like Coral! As kids, they had matching eye patches and amblyopia, and now as adults they have a matching lack of depth perception. They once reenacted Lady Gaga's Bad Romance music video frame by frame, and when that didn't catapult them to stardom-- Coral submitted an application to CSU Long Beach... at 11:59pm on the day of the deadline. Alyssa was both next to her as she pressed send on the application and cheering for her at her graduation four year later! Whether they're taking hip hop dance classes with retirees or having three hour long discussions about identity as they try to de-hoard their apartments, Alyssa is grateful to have a lifetime best friend in Coral.

Mark is the younger brother of Joshua. They have lived together with their mom and dad for most of their lives, all the way up to 2011 when Josh moved out to go to college at UC San Diego. Between now and then, a lot has happened. Josh graduated college, moved back home, and then moved to LA. Mark joined the United States Marine Corps, where he's served for 7 years and counting. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and is now in Delaware. Still, Mark and Josh try to keep in touch along with their parents on Facebook Messenger.

Coral and Noël have been on staff together with InterVarsity going on 6 years. While they started out as coworkers, they’ve built a beautiful friendship through various life stages, grief, lots of laughter, and even more love. Noël is honored to call Coral hermana and stand next to her while she marries the man they’ve prayed and waited for to come into her life.

Josh and Brandon met in college through Intervarsity. While they would get to know each other through the years, they really became close in our 4th year when they were apartment-mates. Both Brandon and Josh shared the same type of thinking: they both would spend a lot of time over-analyzing how other people felt. However, they both bonded over how much they cared for others and Brandon’s glad to still be good friends with Josh to this day. Brandon also wrote a choose-your-own-adventure game featuring Josh as the main character. He will send it to you on request.

Coral and I met through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at CSU Long Beach, but our initial contact was through CSULB's roommate finder where we ALMOST became roomies. Sadly we did not live together, but we remained friends throughout college til now, and I'm grateful for her fun, silly, deep friendship all these years. We also share in our love for doggos. <3

Josh and Brian built a lot of great memories together starting in middle school. As kids, they bonded through basketball, MMORPG games, video games, Korean and Japanese music, and lots of anime. Their study time is spent together at boba shops. After high school, their list of hobbies grew including hiking, traveling, and going to comic-con events. To this day, Brian and Josh find the time to meet and catch up on each other’s life even after Josh moved to LA.

My friendship with Coral began in 2017. She walked up to me while I was standing in line to buy lunch. She was excited and wanted to share a story of something that had just happened to her. Coral would quickly become an important friend to me. Whether I was standing in line for Subway, or crying after heated arguments, Coral has been a presence of Jesus's love in my life. It has been one my greatest joys becoming Coral's student, ministry intern, and friend. It has been an even greater joy learning about Coral's heart. I'm excited for her future and I feel blessed to be a part of another one of her adventures!

Before Keziah met Coral in real life, Coral was a legend in the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship circle and Keziah looked up to her a lot. They met for the first time serving through the Los Angeles Justice Program (and Keziah was fan girling) and now Keziah has the honor of being campus ministry partners with Coral serving college students at Long Beach together.

Josh was one of the first people (and first Filipino brother) Wes met as a freshman at UCSD over 10 years ago now. Wes instantly connected with Josh’s earnestness, humor, having MLK shared weekend birthdays, and love of sports and games. Their friendship has only grown over the years playing board games, softball, fantasy sports, hiking Half Dome, being a Big & Little partner in InterVarsity leadership, and having meaningful conversations about our lives with one another. Wes is blessed to have had many years of friendship with Josh, a few months of living with him now, and being in his wedding party to celebrate his and Coral’s special day!
