Jordan and Bernardo met in late summer of 2019 in Newport Beach. Bernardo had just moved back from SE Asia after a year abroad and Jordan was in her second year of work at a consulting firm. Bernardo’s best friend worked at that same firm and it didn’t take long for them to meet. The two were part of a strong, tight knit friend group in Newport and quickly became close friends. Jordan’s beautiful smile and long beachy blonde hair ensured they didn’t stay just friends for long. They spent two years in Newport together, through a pandemic filled with beach days, bbqs and bike rides. As the good times in Newport came to an end, they took a spontaneous trip to Rio together and the rest is history.

Almost exactly two years after our first trip to Rio together that started our relationship, we were back in Brazil again - this time with our best friends. We had an amazing week planned but I could not have imagined that it would have started the way it did. Our first full day in Rio, Bernardo took me back to my favorite place, Parque Lage, to explore the grounds. Within minutes of being there we were taking pictures and he was telling me how much he loved me. At this point I was already in tears when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him (so was he). Yes, forever! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you in the city that means so much to us both. See you in Rio!
