How do I get to Bath from London?

Answer

The Great Western Railway is the British train system that will take you from London Paddington Station to Bath Spa Station in 1 hour and 15 minutes. Car services are available for hire for door to door services. You can also rent a car and drive yourself to Bath, just remember that you are driving on the other side of the road!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is Black-tie creative. Dress like the star that you are! Nothing is too much. We want you to wear that outfit you have no idea where else you could wear it. Please send Jon pictures of your outfits so that he can help guide you.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The highs will be in the 70s and the lows will be in the 50s. It is unlikely to rain and should be low humidity.

Will the ceremony, reception, and dinner be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

(Weather permitting) The ceremony will be outdoors on the croquet lawn and be approximately 20-30 minutes. We will then have an indoor/outdoor reception and an indoor dinner. In case of inclement weather the ceremony, reception, and dinner will all be indoors.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin at Babington House at 4pm on Thursday, August 17th. Wedding guests are invited to full use of the house starting at 9am on Thursday August 17th, with exclusive use beginning at 3pm. The spa, pools, gym, tennis courts, and other amenities will be available throughout the day. If you are interested in learning more about services or booking something please let us know so we can connect you with the House staff.

Are kids welcome?

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event as per the venue rules (18+). We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list and capacity. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We recommend staying in Bath, England before and after the wedding. Bath is a beautiful vacation town in the English countryside and has many charming and affordable hotel options. We will follow up with each guest to best accommodate lodging needs.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

We are asking guests to RSVP no later than March 1, 2023. Please RSVP as soon as you know whether or not you are able to attend.

How do I get to Babington House from Bath for the wedding?

Answer

Babington House is about 30 minutes away from Bath. We will be providing a shuttle at 2 set times from Bath to Babington House. You can book your own taxi or work with Babington House to schedule pickup if you'd like to be on your own schedule. Alternatively, you can rent a car and drive to Babington. There is parking at Babington House.

Where should I stay in Bath?

Answer

There are many hotels in Bath that vary in style and price. The city itself is very small, safe, and walkable so there really is no wrong answer on where to stay.
