It was the summer of 2019 when our church hosted a stargazing event at a rooftop observatory in Cambridge, MA. While waiting for a turn at the telescope, we struck up a conversation and found that we had a lot in common. Jonathan was intrigued by Emma, but it wasn't until we matched on a dating app the following spring that he knew that she was single. After exchanging a few messages during Covid lockdown, we had our first picnic date in late June, 2020, on the softball field next to Emma's apartment. We spent the rest of the summer hiking, kayaking, projecting movies on the side of the house where Jonathan lived, and enjoying each other's company more and more. By the summer of 2022, we had decided that we wanted to spend our lives together. On July 9th, while backpacking on Vermont's Long Trail, Jonathan surprised Emma by officially proposing we do just that--and she enthusiastically agreed! We can't wait to be married, and to celebrate with you all!
