J.R., or D.O. as Libby calls her, is Libby's big sister and role model. Despite Libby not always being the easiest little sister, D.O. has cheered Libby on at every performance, game, and race she has ever been in. Libby loves D.O.'s creativity, adventurous spirit, and fierce loyalty. She is an AMAZING dancer, and is sure to wow us with her dance moves at the wedding! She lives in Sweden with her boyfriend, Jonathan, and their adorable cat, Fitz.
Geoff Friedman
Best Man
Geoff, also know as Jefe, is Jon's oldest brother. He helped instilled in Jon a love of soccer, taco trucks and homemade tortillas. During high school, Jon would tag along to Geoff's soccer games so he and his teammates could fire shots at Jon for practice. Geoff is the only Friedman who knows how to dance, so look for him to drop some sweet moves on the dance floor! He, and his amazing wife, Jess, recently gave Jon and Libby the gift of their first nephew, Griffin, and they couldn't be more in love with him! Geoff, Jess, and Griffin live in Boston.
Sammi Sylvester

Sammi and Libby first met at Celiac Camp in 2008 and over the years have became inseparable – bonding over their shared love of brunch, margaritas, and Pinterest. Sammi is a wonderfully hilarious woman who always helps Libby find the silver lining. She gives amazing advice, and has been there for Libby through all of the ups and downs. Libby loves Sammi's sense of humor, compassion, and ability to quote every line from The Office!
Jake Friedman
Best Man
Jake is Jon's middle brother and the only one of the brothers who can grow a real beard. Growing up, Jake was kind enough to let Jon tag along for games of hide-n-sneak and laser tag at the local school yard. Jake and Jon share a love of the Sharks hockey and will try to catch a game together everything Thanksgiving and Christmas week. Jake lives in Seattle with his girlfriend, Cheryl, and their awesome dogs, Penny and Parker.
Liz Dickey

Liz and Libby met in 2005 in middle school, and became friends on their school volleyball team. When Liz moved to Oregon for college, Libby was devastated - so imagine her excitement when Liz moved back to the Bay Area after school! Liz is one of Libby's oldest friends, and has been there for every celebrity crush, frozen yogurt run, and late night talk. Libby loves Liz's thoughtfulness, insight, and infectious smile!
Paul Thurston
Groomsman
Paul and Jon met at Santa Clara University on their intramural soccer team. The two men have bonded over their love of craft beer, especially well-balanced hoppy ales. While Paul may appear somewhat reserved, he is one of the best guys to hang out and play yard games with. Paul has lived in Texas, New Orleans, and Brazil, so he always has fun stories to tell about his adventures. Libby and Jon have always appreciated his support and friendship!
Molly Duffy

Molly and Libby met at Celiac Camp in 2009. She has been a great friend to Libby over the years, and they have bonded over their love of Disneyland, Harry Potter, and all things gluten-free. She has been Libby's saving grace in the wedding-planning process, as Molly had a BEAUTIFUL wedding in 2018, and is more than willing to share her wealth of knowledge! Libby loves Molly's childlike spirit and willingness to always see the bright side!
Aidan Barbari

Aidan and Jon officially met during freshman year of college, but they quickly realized that they recognized each other from earlier encounters. It turns out that they had played against each other in club soccer during high school! In college, they were on the same intramural soccer team junior and senior year. Aidan and Jon are undefeated as a cornhole team, so challenge them to a game--just don't expect to win!
Megan Peekema
Bridesmaid
Megan and Libby met at Santa Clara University in 2012 on their intramural soccer team. The two became good friends after running the Nike Womens Half Marathon together, and since then have enjoyed more leisurely activities together, such as eating sushi and relaxing at the spa. Megan loves to travel, rock climb and cook. Libby loves Megan's wit, thoughtfulness, and willingness to always be up for a game of cards!
Danny Vellado
Groomsman
Danny and Jon met through intramural soccer (you can see the trend) then were neighbors during junior and senior year of college. They bonded over their love of sports and classic rock, and Danny was kind enough to invite Jon and Libby to make appearance on his college radio show a few times! Danny named his intramural basketball team "Fear the Fro" after Jon's hairdo, which unfortunately did little to intimidate much taller opponents. Be sure to ask Libby about how she met Danny's brother--it's a great story!
Kat Usavage

Kat and Libby met at Santa Clara University in 2012, and became friends after playing on the same intramural soccer team. She and Jon were actually friends first, and bonded over their love of soccer, beer, and photography. After Libby came to SCU, she stole Kat away from Jon, and they had a blast going to concerts, soccer games, and even Seattle! Libby loves Kat's sense of humor, snark and caring personality!
Zach Wilson
Groomsman
Zach was introduced through intramural soccer (no surprise) and he also lived next door to Jon junior and senior years of college. He is a superb card and board game player who can scheme his way out of trouble--challenge him to a game! Zach has always been a dog whisper with Jon & Libby's dogs, and that is the way to Libby's heart! Fun fact: Zach's family dog is a Basset Hound named Libby!
