Hotel
Our top choice for convenience, The Charleton is located across the street from the wedding venue and minutes from Lake Street, Oak Park's downtown strip where you'll find many of our favorite restaurants and shops. If you'd like to tie one on before going into town (or after the ceremony), visit Poor Phil's, the bar and seafood eatery on the first floor.

If you'd prefer the full Chicago experience, we highly recommend The Hoxton. Bookended by an amazing first-floor brunch spot and Michelin-rated, poolside Peruvian tapas on the top floor, this hotel offers a one-stop experience surrounded by a wealth of West Loop hipness. It's also three blocks from the Green Line and 20 from the Metra, giving you two convenient commuting options on wedding day!
Train
If you decide to stay downtown, we recommend taking the Metra for a more comfortable public transportation experience. Cons are that the Metra trains runs around every hour on the weekends and leave from a single station, but pros are that it's more intimate and comfortable, and you are allowed to drink on the train! When planning your trip from the city, you will use the Union Pacific West (UP-W) line between Chicago and Oak Park map.
Train
If you decide to take the CTA, our venue is a very short walk from the Oak Park green line, and a moderate walk (approximately 25 minutes) from the Oak Park blue line. Although the L trains are convenient and run often, they are not as comfortable as taking the the Metra trains. If you stay in the city and want to take one of the L trains home late, we recommend just getting an Uber home just to be safe.
