Nikki grew up in Highland, Michigan and began her freshman year at the University of Toledo in 2018. Her roommate, Peyton, wanted to introduce Nikki to her boyfriend, Lucas, and his roommates. Lucas’ roommate was Joey, and Nikki was smitten from the moment she saw him. They started dating on August 30, 2018. Nikki transferred to the University of Mississippi in 2019 to pursue a degree in forensic chemistry. Joey and Nikki are going three years strong, two of which were long distance, and got engaged on July 3, 2021.

Joey was born and raised in Ohio, living in Toledo for the majority of his life. Joey began his biology degree at the University of Toledo in 2018. His high school friend, Peyton, wanted to introduce him to her new roommate, which wound up being Nikki. Nikki struggled with directions on the new campus, so Joey volunteered to walk her to the pharmacy one morning. They talked for hours and quickly became inseparable. They started dating on August 30, 2018. Joey was gifted a family engagement ring and proposed on July 3, 2021.

Maid of Honor

Jessie is Nikki’s older sister, and the only person she could imagine as her maid of honor. Jessie graduated from the University of Michigan with her bachelors in biomedical engineering and is currently earning her master’s in the same field. Nikki’s favorite memories with Jessie are the random shopping trips they take together- even if some bickering is involved.

Kate is Nikki’s sorority “big sister”- meaning she is a mentor and a best friend. Kate is finishing up her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Mississippi. One of Nikki’s favorite moments with Kate was a sleepover at Kate’s apartment- nothing better than food, dogs, and a lot of laughs.

Barrie Wright

Barrie is the first friend that Nikki made within her sorority at Ole Miss- Alpha Delta Pi. They immediately had a lot in common- they both joined ADPi as sophomores and planned on graduating late. Barrie is double majoring in international studies and biology. Nikki’s favorite memory with Barrie is their first hang out together. They went to a philanthropy event for a different sorority where frat boys participated in a lip-sync competition.

Ella Endorf

Honor Attendant

Nikki and Ella met through Barrie at Ella’s sorority philanthropy event. Though they were not instant best friends, they grew closer over time and had internships in Washington, DC at the same time. Nikki’s favorite moment with Ella was going wedding dress shopping for the first time ever! Ella’s bubbly personality and enthusiasm made the appointment super enjoyable.
